Isn’t it amazing how weeds grow any and everywhere?
In good soil, within rocks, in concrete; it’s almost as if all that weeds need is a grain of soil or sand and they will sprout.
There’s something to learn from weeds - both good and bad!
Weeds make do with what they have. They don’t need all conditions to be perfect before they grow. We can learn from this - we don’t need everything to be good in our lives before we allow ourselves to grow, spiritually and physically. Let’s learn use what God has given us now and make the best of it because God will bless the little and make it much (Matt 25:23).
Weeds don’t make excuses. Just because the soil isn’t rich or there isn’t water, doesn’t mean weeds won’t grow. We need to stop making excuses for why we aren’t flourishing; we can if we are determined.
Weeds are resilient; Uproot them and they will grow again. Let’s learn not to give up easily. We are children of God, and the enemy will definitely test us. We may fall sometimes but when we fall let’s rise up again (Micah 7:8).
Weeds have weak roots; and that’s what growing in shallow soil does. Let’s learn from weeds and make sure our foundations are solid. May we stand firm in God and His word so that the enemy cannot easily uproot us (Ephesians 6:11).
Weeds find themselves in good soil sometimes. It doesn’t mean that when weedicides are used on them, they won’t die. We don’t belong everywhere, and when we are in the wrong place, no matter how good the environment seems, if that’s not where our purpose is we won’t excel. In fact we will die, when we are sprayed with the everyday nuances of life (Hebrews 6:7-8) .
Weeds are temporary, almost like squatters. Anyone can move them at anytime because they don’t serve any purpose. God created us not to be squatters in this world, but to leave a mark and to have dominion right from the beginning of time (Genesis 1:28)! God wants us to take over territories. He wants others to see Him through us. We can’t dominate if we have a squatter mentality.
Love,
Alice
